SLIDE SHOW ORDERS DUE TODAY

Just a quick reminder that your order for a copy of the birthday slideshow in either VHS or DVD-R format is due TODAY.

  SLIDE SHOW UPDATE

Tom has confirmed that all of the pictures are in and ready to be put into a slide show format. Thank you for all of your contributions. If any of you would like a copy of the show for your own records, he can place an order for anyone interested. You can order a copy of the show in a DVD format, or a VHS format. A DVD with the show on it costs $15. A VHS tape of the slide show is $10.

If you are interested in ordering a DVD, you must have a DVD player that will play DVD-R format. To determine if your DVD player plays DVD-R format, look in your DVD user manual as it should be listed in there. Most newer DVD players do play the DVD-R format, but you might check just to be sure. If you are in doubt, VHS is always a safe bet... Please let him know by Wednesday, October 8th, if you would like a copy and what format you would like.

PARTY DECORATIONS UPDATE

Volunteers have already lined up to provide decorations for the birthday party. Here's a rundown of who's doing what so far:

Tom and Kate are getting belly flops and almonds - What the @%#! is a bellyflop?! wer@johnson-gardner if you know
Leigh recorded a bunch of discs of older music when Me-Ma and Pam-Pa were young
Sue, Rick and Jeff will take care of the helium balloons (Yoda-shaped anyone?)
Teri Lynn is making picture center pieces for the tables.

If anyone wants to do something, just think of a project and let Dianne know what you want to do. We will also need volunteers to set all of this stuff up in the two hours before the party starts.

  PICTURE DEADLINE PASSES - THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE

A flood of photos were received over the weekend, so it looks like there's plenty to choose from for a good slide show. Thank you all for your submissions.

NEW DINNER INFORMATION

The dinner is on schedule for the evening of Oct. 11. around 6:00 pm. Each meal will cost $15.00. That includes meat, vegetables, salad, bread and beverage. In addition, they will not be charging a room fee. The room will be available for two to three hours beforehand for decorating, so plans for decoration will be elaborated soon.
